GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Kirkwood Community College's Business and IT Department seeks a skilled, enthusiastic individual to join our faculty to teach face-to-face at the Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa in Coralville. The position requires the candidate to have a master's degree in accounting, or a master's degree with 6 graduate credits in accounting and 6 graduate credits in an applicable business discipline, or a bachelor's degree in accounting with a current CPA license. Experience working with students or previous training experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must be available to teach the following course(s) face-to-face for Spring 2024:

ACC-152 Financial Accounting (4 credit hours), M/W, 12:20 - 2:20 PM
ACC-156 Managerial Accounting (4 credit hours), M/W, 2:30 - 4:30 PM

$1,294 per credit hour of instruction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction in discipline.
Work with other faculty members to develop a course syllabus and consistent assessments.
Communicate with department staff, students, and faculty on a regular basis.
Perform other related work duties as assigned.

Effectively instruct and communicate material for the course.
Establish and maintain good working relationship with students, colleagues, staff, administrators, and the general public.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in accounting, or a master's degree with 6 graduate credits in accounting and 6 graduate credits in an applicable business discipline, or a bachelor's degree in accounting with a current CPA license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

Experience teaching at the college level.
Demonstrated success in working collaboratively.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
