Job Summary:
This position assists with and supports the work of the Director of Academic Budget and Personnel, with the overall goal of supporting the mission of the Provost Office in all aspects of budget/personnel-related matters. On a regular basis, consults with deans, directors, and Human Resources on Provost personnel issues and processes to address current and future-oriented needs. Serves as the principal personnel interface and liaison between the Provost Office and the Schools and College, as well as other areas of the university. Manages the operational and financial aspects of Provost division hiring, which includes salary and compensation matters. Assists with new initiatives to improve upon existing systems, policies, and technologies to advance the mission of the University and the work of the Provost division in particular.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years' experience in work related to human resources, financial and budget operations, data science/analytics, technology applications, or related field
- 3+ years' office administration experience
- Demonstrated experience and strong proficiency with technology-based financial platforms and systems, including Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated experience and success with automation of work flows and systems
- Ability to perform job duties in a collegial and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Function independently, as appropriate, utilizing discretion and judgment
- Demonstrated and unwavering ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational and analytical skills
