A research technician position is available to study the molecular biology of viral infection in the Miranda lab at Barnard College, Columbia University. We seek to understand how viruses control host and pathogen transcription in cancer and the environment. Our primary interests include both basic science (chromatin control of transcription), translational biomedical research (cancer biology), and public health (wastewater surveillance).

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in biology or related field is required. Prior experience with human cell culture, virus culture, cell viability assays, RNA purification, quantitative PCR, sequencing library construction, bioinformatic analysis, and data processing with R is preferred.
