Postdoctoral Research Associate Functioning somewhat independently, the postdoctoral research associate will design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases designing new protocols; summarize findings and publish results in research journals and assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory. This research will be guided by Professors Feng Xie and Thomas Porter of the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Candidates with experience in the following areas will be considered: 1.Cardiac Ultrasound (Echocardiography) 2.Small and Large Animal research 3.Staining techniques including: a.Fluorescent Microscopy b.Western Blot staining c.Confocal Microscopy d.Polymerase Chain Reaction Techniques 4.Basic Statistical Analysis 5.Database Entry/Case Report Form Use
