The Intellectual Property Specialist works in coordination with the Intellectual Property Manager and the Associate Director to manage new invention disclosures, Bayh-Dole compliance with federally funded inventions, and reporting responsibilities for NUtech Ventures and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Responsible for receipt of Invention Disclosures and associated database entry, federal grant reporting per Bayh-Dole requirements, and also responsible for database report creation.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in pre-law, legal studies, paralegal studies, or related field plus one year of experience in an intellectual property field; equivalent education/experience considered. One year of experience with Microsoft Office. Time management, project management, and organizational skills.
Two years of experience in an intellectual property role. Two years of experience with Microsoft Office. One year of experience with Bayh-Dole compliance. Knowledge of intellectual property law and IP database management. Familiarity with Sophia database for IP management. Ability to work independently.
Posted Salary: $22.00/hr. minimum
