The Department of Management in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice position starting fall 2020. The faculty member will be an integral part of the Department's and College's long-term commitment to teaching excellence and will be expected to teach a variety of management courses (i.e., OB/HR, strategy, entrepreneurship) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Professors of Practice are teaching specialists and are hired on multi-year contracts that are renewable subject to performance. Teaching responsibilities typically will be 12 hours per semester or 9 hours with additional service requirements. This will be an academic year (nine-month) appointment. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with Big Ten Universities.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
1) A doctorate in management or a related field, or have completed all of the requirements for the Ph.D. at the time of appointment, with either an active research program or substantial documented professional engagement activities, OR 2) a graduate business degree and significant current corporate and/or professional experience.
All applicants must demonstrate an ability to teach college-level courses, including large lecture or online sections of undergraduate and graduate courses.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
