Responsible for implementing recruitment strategy within assigned territory and provide quarterly updates to the Admissions office Admissions Leadership Team. Utilize recruitment strategies to effectively provide college counseling to prospective students and their parents. Responsible for presenting the benefits of UNL to prospective students and their families within assigned territory. This position will represent UNL at high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and other external events. The Assistant Director would be responsible for training UNL alumni across the country regarding admissions and recruitment. This position is also responsible for maintaining and building connections with key community groups across the state of Nebraska, and specifically in the assigned territory. This individual will place focused efforts on the recruitment growth of students from underrepresented backgrounds in this area. Responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public. This position is located on the UNL campus but extensive travel is required. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in sales, marketing, higher education, or related field required. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Public speaking experience necessary. Ability to work independently essential. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures required. Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assigned projects on time necessary. Must have ability to learn new technologies. Must have valid driver's license.
Experience with non-resident students preferred. Undergraduate admissions recruitment experience desirable. Prefer demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
