The UNMC College of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. This position will work closely with the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education and the Office of Experiential Education, with approximately 50% of responsibilities related to introductory/advanced pharmacy practice experiences and preceptor development. Teaching is expected and may involve coordination and instruction of professional courses including a compounding course. Scholarly activity directly related to practice or teaching is also required. The position will support the Profession, The College of Pharmacy, and Department through service to committees and professional organizations. About Omaha: The UNMC campus is located in Omaha. Successful applicants will possess a Pharm.D., have completed a minimum of a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency, or equivalent experience, and be eligible for pharmacy practice licensure in Nebraska. Excellent written and verbal communication and personal skills are required. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to network, coordinate preceptor and student activities, and prepare pharmacy students for experiential rotations. Precise attention to detail and ability to work in a team are essential.
Experience in pharmacy education, familiarity with ACPE accreditation standards, and precepting student pharmacists is highly desired.
