The Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE is seeking a general surgeon with bariatric surgery experience or training to be an integral part of our faculty. This full time opportunity is ideal for a surgeon to join a collegial team that is passionate about providing clinically excellent and compassionate care to all patients. We help patients achieve optimal health at any size through the most comprehensive weight management program in the region.
The successful candidate will join our team of eight faculty members and six advanced practitioners between general and bariatric surgery to provide clinical services at Nebraska Medicine. We are home to a fully accredited Advanced GI MIS/Bariatric fellowship that offers two positions each year. Responsibilities will include clinical care, education and research.

The ideal candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree), board certified general surgeon who has completed fellowship or has training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery.
