Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology: The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Drake University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Counseling Psychology position beginning in August, 2020. While advanced ABD/ABI candidates will be considered, completion of PhD requirements is expected by the start of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching/research expertise in multicultural psychology. Candidates must be committed to exemplary teaching and to maintaining a productive program of research. The teaching load is 3-3. Teaching assignments include introductory psychology, counseling psychology, multicultural psychology, and courses within the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate is also expected to mentor student research and internship experiences. The department has approximately 230 undergraduate majors taught by 10 faculty members. As a new faculty line, this position provides an opportunity for advancing the undergraduate counseling psychology curriculum as well as exploring possible undergraduate curricular partnerships with the Master of Science in Counseling Program in the School of Education.
