Title: Enrollment Counselor-Admissions
Unit: MCCC Professional Staff, Grade 3
Department: Admissions and Student Recruitment
Reports To: Assistant Dean of Admissions
The Enrollment Counselor in Admissions is a student focused professional who will work with our diverse prospective students and their families to provide general information pertaining to admissions, college programs, course placement, and enrollment. The individual will utilize technology to promote the college to a broad spectrum of prospective students, assisting them through the onboarding process in person, online or via telephone. Additionally, they will assist students with utilizing self-service technologies such as EAB Navigate, self-service Banner, Degree Works and a CRM. They will be responsible for providing frontline student support for the Admissions office by answering phones, emails and assisting students in person. The Enrollment Counselor will also assist the Assistant Dean and Director in the maintenance and testing of key Admissions and Recruitment technologies related as the college's CRM and SIS Banner, Admissions Letter Generation, SARS Grid and R25Live.
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide information, guidance and assistance to prospective students and their families with questions related to general and selective admissions, credit programs, course placement, registration and policies such as the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act and related activities.
Develop expertise in the CRM and the SIS Banner to help track students through the recruitment and application stages, assist prospective students with the application and confirmation process, and assist the admissions team with CRM related tasks.
Provide in-depth information to prospective and new students both in person and by telephone or email regarding general and selective admissions, programs, course placement, course planning registration and degree audits.
Assist in coordinating the college admissions process by processing and evaluating web and paper applications, reviewing high school transcripts and processing supplemental admissions forms.
Assist with Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment and Early College Admissions processing and registration.
Provide assistance to prospective and new students in utilizing self-service admissions technology such as the prospect inquiry form, the online application, EAB Navigate, Degree Works and the CRM.
Assist in the processing of recruitment and event forms.
Participate in prospective student recruitment activities, both on and off campus.
Assist with the letter generation process for admissions letters to applicants to ensure timely enrollment. This involves coordinating, troubleshooting and revising, as needed, the automated and integrated letter generation process using Banner, MS Access, Argos and MS Word.
Update and run Microsoft Access and Argos reports and queries for admissions letters, daily/weekly reports, etc. Work with SCT Banner, Argos and Word to create and track outreach mailings to prospective students.
Assist in the data collection and submission of credit Certificate and Associate degree programs to the Training Pro website for unemployment benefit approval.
Participate in the outreach initiatives of the admissions office by calling eligible students to assist them with their next steps for enrollment.
Assist with monitoring the Admissions email inbox and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Serves on college committees.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Admissions.

Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or closely related field;
With two (2) years' experience and/or training involving college recruitment/admissions or enrollment, customer relations, or office administration.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the community college mission and student population.
Experience in, and/or knowledge of, working with students, staff and faculty of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, veterans, etc. including those with different levels of academic preparation and varying physical and learning abilities.
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and verbal skills.
Knowledge of using a Student Information System (SIS) or other student registration applications.
Problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to change.
Experience in Ellucian Banner.
Experience in Ellucian Degree Works or EAB Navigate
Salary Range: MCCC Grade 3 minimum starting salary with a Bachelor's degree is $44,852. Actual salary will be commensurate with academic background and experience per the MCCC Collective Bargaining Agreement. See http://www.mass.edu/shared/collbargaining/mccc.pdf
Location: Lowell campus with occasional travel to the Bedford campus and off-site recruitment events.
Work Week: Monday, Thursday and Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday and Wednesday - 11:00am - 7:00pm
Hours may shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement during peak recruitment times.
