The Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics Department (PERA) is seeking an individual with experience in working within a community of diverse students and colleagues. Successful candidates will by their administrative, coaching, leadership or service demonstrate they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of athletics, the department and our community. Women’s Crew Responsibilities: Assist the head coach in the coaching, organization and administration of the program including but not limited to practice and race preparation; attending all practices and scheduled races; recruiting assistance including travel; practice and race analysis; assisting with the organization and implementation of fundraising activities; assisting with trailer driving and equipment maintenance.
The Assistant Crew Coach reports to the Head Crew Coach. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position.
Approximate Schedule: Fall Crew Season – 1st Week of September – Last Week of October Spring Crew Season – 1st Week of February – 2nd Week of May
A bachelor’s degree is required but a master’s degree is preferred. One to two years college coaching experience preferred. Collegiate rowing experience required. USRowing Level I certification required, Level II preferred. CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required upon hire. Valid driver’s license and clearance to drive College vehicles required. This position requires a full background check.
