The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a Medical Geneticist at the rank of Associate (non track), Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (tenure or non-tenure/clinical track). The individual selected will join the Division of Medical Genetics and Genomics to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services as an attending physician in medical genetics clinics and on the genetics consultation service.

The ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program at the Children's Hospital trains 47 pediatric residents.
The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics comprises the medical and research staff of University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, one of the nation's top-ranked pediatric care and research institutions. It is the only university-affiliated hospital in Iowa devoted solely to the care of infants, children, adolescents and young adults, and is Iowa's only accredited Level 1 Regional Resource Pediatric Trauma Center. In 2018-19 University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital ranked in four pediatric specialties in the Best Children's Hospitals U.S. News and World Report, including cancer, neonatology, nephrology, and orthopedics, and is the only hospital in Iowa to be nationally ranked by U.S. News and World Report for children's care. A new 190-bed children's hospital opened in February 2017.
