The University of Virginia's College at Wise, a division of the University of Virginia, invites applications for the Thurston H. Strunk Endowed Chair in Nursing. The University of Virginia's College at Wise is a nationally ranked four year undergraduate public liberal arts college located in the mountains of southwestern Virginia. This Endowed Chair position is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced researcher to influence health care through nursing education and interdisciplinary research. The successful candidate must possess research and leadership skills, interdisciplinary collaboration experience, and interpersonal skills that enable working across multiple disciplines that address priority issues and funding opportunities in the research community. The ability to mentor undergraduate students and faculty in research endeavors is important. The Chair position offers a reduced teaching load, discretionary research funds, and competitive salary and benefits. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in nursing or related field, and an established record of scholarship.
